Kenyatta University booked their Super Cup ticket with a 35-23 win over Vickers in a Kenya Handball Federation league clash at Nyayo Stadium courts.
The victory saw the campus lads, up 18-4 at the break, bag 24 points from their final fixture and cannot finish lower than sixth in the table.
Simiyu Morgan nailed 11 goals while Phelix Ongoro shot six for the marauding KU. Calvin Mbugua contributed five for the losers.
In another match, Rangers slammed Technical University of Kenya (TUK) 32-27 in a closely-fought match.
The students trailed 18-11 at half time and didn’t recover. Joseph Wafula tallied eight goals for the winners while Polycarp Rakama matched him for the losers.
Ulinzi Sharks ripped Nanyuki 36-27 in a women’s encounter. Sharks took a 19-12 at the breather and went all the way.
The winners are pushing for second after a 30-26 loss to reigning champions Nairobi Water the previous day.
They had 13 goals from Sarah Wasike and 11 from Caren Lutengeya. The losers’ Marjorie Okwakwao and Elizabeth Alungat had eight each.
In other matches, National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) pipped Ulinzi 29-28 in a tight encounter. GSU beat Rangers 32-27 as Vickers beat Generation 33-30.
